In a recent poll of business executives conducted by Korn/Ferry, 53% of the respondents indicated their current CMO could one day become CEO. As the primary member of the C-suite chartered with much sought after top-line growth, the CMO is beginning to get recognition as a candidate for the top leadership position. Three qualities were associated with CMOs who have the potential to become CEOs: being results oriented (30%), having business acumen (25%) and possessing ability for strategic planning (20%).
